energy2save from Ruhstrat is a sustainable system which reduces electricity costs sustainably – without affecting the performance and reliability of the equipment in any way. In the case of discharge lamps with conventional or inductive ballasts, the reduced voltage results in reduced power draw and therefore reduced power consumption. Within the requirements of DIN IEC 60038 and VDE 0175, therefore, energy savings of up to 30 % are possible for street, parking lot and building lights. Below the DIN IEC 60038 voltage range, the savings rate can be even higher.

A further advantage: the lamps have a longer life, because – especially important in areas with mains fluctuations – they are supplied only with constant voltage, with no damaging peaks. This in turn further reduces operating costs. When lighting systems are operated in conformity with the requirements of DIN IEC 60038 and VDE 0175, energy2save achieves the following benefits:
